“From a laboratory and clinical trial perspective, the green-lipped mussel (Perna canaliculus) is a highly fascinating marine organism. Early in my research career, I was skeptical about ‘miracle joint supplements’ because so many lack rigorous data. What changed my perspective on GLM powder was its distinct chemical blueprint. Unlike standard fish oils that primarily offer EPA and DHA, cold-extracted green-lipped mussel powder contains a unique matrix of free fatty acids, triglycerides, and eicosatetraenoic acid (ETA)—a rare omega-3 that acts as a highly potent inhibitor of the lipoxygenase (LOX) and cyclooxygenase (COX) inflammatory pathways.
When we monitor subjects in controlled, double-blind trials, the objective data mirrors what owners see at home. We use force-plate gait analysis to measure exactly how much weight a stiff or arthritic animal can bear on its limbs. Within 6 to 8 weeks of introducing a bio-active GLM powder, we consistently observe statistically significant increases in peak vertical force. In plain terms: the subjects are demonstrably more comfortable and placing more weight on their joints.
When utilizing a stabilized, cold-processed whole powder, the scientific literature clearly demonstrates that it actively blunts the cascade of joint degradation, reduces cellular inflammation, and offers a highly effective, evidence-based foundation for long-term mobility management.”
